Solution
To address these challenges, Siplast provided a comprehensive roofing solution designed to meet the center’s needs for durability, sustainability, and safety:
- Enhanced Durability for a Busy Community Hub: Siplast's two-ply SBS-modified bitumen Paradiene® Roof Membrane was selected for its exceptional performance and durability to withstand the demands of a high-traffic facility.* This highly flexible membrane system helped provide reliable protection for the Community Center, as it's designed to retain its elasticity through solar load, ultraviolet rays, and low temperatures.
- Supporting Cleaner Air: Paradiene® cap sheets were surfaced with Siplast Eco-Activ® Membrane System with Noxite® granules, designed to help neutralize harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the air—aligning with the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department’s environmental goals.
- Safe & Efficient Installation: To minimize disruptions during installation, the membrane was installed using Siplast’s PA-311 Cold Adhesive, a blend of special adhesive asphalts and safe, high-flash, quick-drying solvents. This adhesive helped to avoid harmful asphalt fumes and open flames during application.
